Directing for Luv and Loose Change
December 10th | 3pm-5pm | $25
Class Description: In this fun, wildly unpredictable workshop, I'll share all the horrible decisions I've made as a director and how to avoid them. My mistakes are your gain! Boo-ya. What a deal! We'll discuss casting disasters. Giving feedback to "problematic" actors. What to do when the play is horrible. What to do when you an't got no set. What to do when you ain't got no actors. How to pose as a technical person. Between all the spaghetti you'll walk away with some solid tools. If you don't want to lie awake nights regretting decisions, my advice is: don't direct. But if you want to lie awake LESS at night regretting decisions, my advice is take the workshop. Peace.
Taught by: Phil Powell

McDonald's coffee kinda hot. Cameron Crowe, Danny Devito and Mike Myers took note of his comedic chops. Philip has been pandering his writing and directorial skills to anyone with a pocketbook for over 30 years. Though his company, Leading Edge Video, he's done work for Amazon, LG Electronics, Walmart, SyFy Channel and HGTV. Philip has also has gained national attention for his visual effects supervising, IMAX filmmaking and acting in regional theatres. Today his storytelling involves new technology.
